Because of the ease of transportation facilities available in the city, I recommend Srinagar as the starting point of this trip. It is also the winter capital of Kashmir and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Srinagar is well-connected to other major cities via well-established airlines and railways. The city also has a railway station that can be used to get to the location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When is the best time to visit Kashmir?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is recommended that you plan your trip to Kashmir during the winter season if you want to visit the best places. A vacation in the months of December to February will be ideal. The winter season also brings with it a plethora of activities in Kashmir, such as skiing and trekking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, if you want to keep your costs low, you can take a train to Udhampur, Jammu Tawi, or Katra. All of these locations are only 5 to 7 hours’ drive from Srinagar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  The most convenient way to get to Kashmir’s capital city from here is to hire a cab or drive yourself, which will cost you between Rs. 1,800 and Rs. 2,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Day 2<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Srinagar Sightseeing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    After breakfast, you can begin your day by visiting the Chashme Shahi Gardens and the Pari Mahal Garden. All of these gardens are on the Dal Lake’s bank. You can also pay a visit to the Shankaracharya Temple. The temple, also known as the Jyoteshwar Temple, is situated on Shankaracharya Hill. From here, you can also get a beautiful view of the lush green hills and mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    There are also paragliding and trekking opportunities in Srinagar. You can also go skiing or horseback riding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Visit Gulmarg and learn about the area.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      After breakfast, you can travel to Gulmarg, also known as the “Meadow of Flowers.” It is approximately 51 kilometres from Srinagar. You can take a taxi or drive yourself to this location. The area is a skier’s paradise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The location is a must-see for any tourist visiting Kashmir. From the vibrant flowers to the snow-capped mountains, the location is a paradise for any adventure seeker. You can also sample the local cuisine by visiting any of the local dhabas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • 4th day<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Visit Sonamarg and learn about the city.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        After finishing your breakfast, you can travel to Sonamarg, which is about 80 kilometres from Srinagar. Sonamarg is primarily a hill station located northeast of Srinagar. Sonamarg is popularly known as the “Golden Meadow.” The river ‘Sindh’ makes the area extremely popular for mahseer and trout fishing. You can also take a pony ride to any of the glaciers for some ice fun. This lake is unique in that it remains frozen throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Visit Pahalgam and learn about the area.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Pahalgam, which is approximately 31 kilometres from Sonamarg. Pahalgam is commonly referred to as the “Valley of Shepherds.” It is situated at the confluence of streams flowing from the Lidder River and the Sheshnag Lake. When you arrive in Pahalgam, you can immerse yourself in the surrounding beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Journey to Chandanwari<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            Chandanwari is about 15 kilometres from Pahalgam. It is a well-known glacier point. This location is also the starting point for the sacred Amarnath Yatra. The location, which is elevated, is an unusual destination to stop and enjoy some time in the midst of nature. Visit the well-known Sheshnag Lake, which flows through this district. It is one of the oldest Hindu pilgrimage sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Return to Srinagar.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

              After finishing your breakfast, you can return to Srinagar. Srinagar is about 100 kilometres from Chandanwari. After checking into the hotel, you can go to Nishat Bagh. The area is also known as the ‘Garden of Pleasure.’ The latter garden is the larger of the two.
